Yet I like it.Ĭastlevania for the N64, not to be confused with Simon Belmont's NES adventure. It's difficult, it's weird (skeletons on motorcycles! magical nitro! an elevator! a salesman who is a demon! Frankenstien's monster. with a chainsaw!), and it'll make you want to either bang your head, throw your controller, or weep and curse like a sailor as you retry for the umpteenth time from the checkpoint. Oh, don't spend over 30000 Gold, unless you want to see the salesman's true form and fight it. Castlevania 64 and its prequel/remake Legacy of Darkness are mediocre even bad games. The controls are terrible, platforming is frustrating, combat was a bad imitation of Zelda OoT, and the story is predictable (Who couldn't tell that the little boy was Dracula?).
I completed CV64 with both characters and then once again with the 3 characters in LoD.
